Tai Chi is for Health, exercise and relaxation
Tai Chi stimulates the central nervous system, lowers blood pressure, and relieves stress whilst gently toning the muscles without strain. The rhythmical movements massage the internal organs and improve their function, enhancing digestion, the elimination of wastes and blood circulation. Tai Chi develops flexibility, increasing strength of lower limbs to improve balance (thus preventing falls) and since the movements are performed while standing assist in bone formation and strengthening that helps to prevent the onset of osteoporosis.

What should I wear?
Tai Chi requires no special clothing or equipment. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes and trainers or plimsoles.
How do I learn?
Regular classes from a qualified instructor will give you the coaching you require. To benefit from the exercises you simply need to practice. Tai Chi is designed for doing a little each day rather than an hour or more once per week.
Regular practice helps you remember the movements; it improves your understanding of how to do them and therefore how to get the most benefit from them.
Instructor – Mark Guggiari
Mark Guggiari first started learning Tai Chi in 1998 with an introduction to the Cheng Man Ching form, the 18 movements of Tai Chi Qigong and Wild Goose Qigong. Since 1999 Mark has been a student of Master Liming Yue of the Tai Chi Centre in Manchester. During this time Mark has also studied with Master Liu Yong and Grandmaster Gou Kong Jie. Mark has studied the silk reeling exercises, Master Yue’s 11 form, 83 New frame form, Cannon Fist, Sword form and Staff form.
Mark is a registered instructor with the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain and a qualified acupuncturist with the British Acupuncture Council.
